Medical disclaimer

The Biohacking Bible is an educational publisher. We summarise published research on sleep, glucose, fasting, HRV, cold and heat exposure, sauna, nootropics, light therapy, supplements, and consumer wearables. We are not clinicians and nothing on this site is medical advice.

What we are not

Not a clinic

We do not diagnose, examine, or treat any individual.

Not medical advice

Nothing here is a substitute for advice from a UK-registered clinician.

Not a pharmacist

We do not provide dosing instructions for medicines or supplements.

Not a prescriber

We do not authorise prescription-only medicines. Many compounds discussed in biohacking are POMs in the UK.

Not a retailer

We do not sell supplements, peptides, devices, or services.

Not a diagnosis

Symptom information is for general literacy, not personal interpretation.

Not a substitute for NHS care

Use NHS 111 for non-emergency advice and 999 for emergencies.

Not personalised

Content does not account for your medical history, medications, allergies, or genetics.

Not financial or insurance advice

We do not advise on private healthcare, insurance, or treatment funding.

Prescription-only medicines (POMs)

A number of compounds discussed in the biohacking and longevity space are prescription-only medicines under UK law and may not be sold or supplied without a valid prescription. We will not provide dosing, sourcing, or self-administration guidance for POMs. Where we mention them, it is to describe what published research has reported, not to recommend their use.

Regulatory status changes

Regulatory status — including which compounds are licensed, restricted, recalled, or banned — changes over time. Information on this site is accurate at the time of writing. Always check the latest position with the MHRA, FSA, or your healthcare professional before acting on anything you read here.

Reporting harm

If you suspect that a medicine or supplement has caused an adverse reaction, report it via the MHRA Yellow Card scheme. Anyone — patient or clinician — can submit a report.
