Corrections policy
If you spot an error on this site — a misquoted study, an out-of-date regulatory reference, a broken link, or anything else — please tell us at [email protected]. We aim to respond within five working days.
Material errors
For material errors (factual mistakes, misattributed studies, retracted sources) we update the page and add a dated correction note at the bottom of the article. The original wording is recorded in the page's git history. We do not silently rewrite content that other readers may have referenced.
Minor errors
Typos, broken links, and formatting issues are fixed without a note.
Regulatory updates
When the MHRA, FSA, or NHS publishes new guidance that materially changes the position on a topic we cover, we update the affected page and refresh its Last reviewed date as a priority.
Retraction
If a page becomes unsafe or misleading and cannot be salvaged with a correction, we retract it. The URL returns a notice explaining the retraction and the date.
