Cookie policy
This page explains the cookies that The Biohacking Bible uses, what they do, and how you can change your preferences. We try to set as few cookies as possible.
Your current choice
Clicking the button above re-opens the consent banner so you can change your mind.
Strictly necessary cookies (always on)
These cookies are required for the site to function. They are set whether or not you accept cookies.
- Sign-in session — sets Auth.js cookies (names containing
authjs) when you sign in or use the sign-in pages. These remember that you're signed in across pages and protect the sign-in form. Removed when you sign out. - Consent record — a single cookie named
bhb_consentremembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, so we don't show the banner again. Expires after one year.
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
With your explicit consent we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. This helps us decide what to write next. If you reject non-essential cookies, no Google Analytics script is loaded at all — there is nothing to disable in your browser.
- _ga — Google Analytics 4 identifier. 2 years.
- _ga_PYV2M9L1G4 — GA4 session counter specific to our measurement ID. 2 years.
If you previously accepted and now reject, we clear the analytics cookies on your next page load. We do not share Google Analytics data with anyone.
What we don't use
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No social-network tracking pixels.
- No third-party trackers beyond Google Analytics (with consent).
- No affiliate-link tracking.
How to manage cookies in your browser
All major browsers let you block or delete cookies. The links below describe how:
Legal basis (UK GDPR / PECR)
Strictly necessary cookies are placed under the "strictly necessary" exemption in PECR. Analytics cookies require your explicit consent, which we ask for via the banner on your first visit. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Updates to this policy
We'll update this page if we add or remove cookies. Material changes will reset your consent so you can choose again.
